AAT Aircraft Maintenance Receives Part 145 Approval

By: David A. Lombardo

Maintenance and Modifications, AINmxReports

Dallas-based AAT Aircraft Maintenance has been certified as an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station. The certification allows the MRO to perform light to heavy maintenance and major repairs and modifications on the Gulfstream II/IIB/II-SP/III/IV and Hawker 700/800/800XP.

"Certification allows us to serve aircraft owners and operators throughout the region," said Brian Allen, one of three partners of AAT. Allen told AIN the maintenance facility has been in operation since June 2008 working out of a 50,000-sq-ft hangar.

"We have 10 FAA-certified airframe and powerplant mechanics and two avionics techs," he said. "We specialize in heavy inspections, maintenance and structural repair.

FAA Part 145 repair station approval affords us the opportunity to expand our services and allows us to become the primary maintenance source for many corporate and private aircraft in the region." AAT Aircraft Maintenance is based at Dallas Executive Airport and provides maintenance to many local Dallas-based aircraft as well as transient clients.

January 2010 - Happy New Year! Completed Challenger 600 1/6/12/24/36 Month Inspection and 50/100/300 Hour Inspection. Again on time and again on Budget!  Started Gulfstream III 72 Month Inspection as well as numerous CMP cards.

November 2009 -
Completed prebuy plus numerous CMP cards on Gulfstream IV. As always, done on time and on budget

September 2009 - Completed the following on a Cessna Citation IISP:
Phase I – IV Inspections, Phase 41, Phase 20 and Phase 37 – 5000 Hour Inspection plus all due items and discrepancies. Had it out on schedule, and within quoted budget.

August 2009 - AAT Aircraft Maintenance successfully completed all requirements and received an Export Certificate of Airworthiness for a Gulfstream IVSP to Mexico, and successfully worked with our Mexican client and the DGAC to receive the Mexican Airworthiness approval prior to the aircraft departing our facility.

July 2009 - AAT just completed a complete 72 Month Package with 12 Month Inspection and due CMP cards on a Gulfstream III. Not only did we have them out the door and on a trip ahead of schedule, but we were also under customer budget.
